Chinese electric car maker Kandi has just launched a unique carsharing service based on the concept of vending machines.
Through a partnership with Geely, residents of Hangzhou can rent a car for approximately $3.40 an hour. Eventually, 750 rental points could be implemented across the city, with a total of 5,000-10,000 cars available.
Kandi and Geely even plan to design a new vehicle together.
China is hoping to have more than two million electric cars on the road by 2020.
