US: GM offers free payment protection for a month

Just hours after Ford announced a package covering new vehicle payments for up to a year, General Motors unveiled a payment protection plan for the first two years of ownership that will provide up to nine payments for up to US$500 per month, though the offer is only good to the end of April while Ford's is available till June.
