US: GM to manufacture new small Ecotec engines

To comply with the strict environmental regulations, many automotive makers are downsizing engines to improve fuel economy and lower emissions. GM has announced a new family of small Ecotec engines that will feature technologies such as petrol direct injection, turbocharging and multi-fuel capacity to boost economy and performance.
