US: Strong September for light vehicle sales

Adding Labor Day to September US light vehicle sales not only made for a very good month, it made history. September's seasonally adjusted annualised rate (SAAR) of 18.17m units was not only the highest monthly reading since July 2005, it was the highest September SAAR in automotive history, according to the US Bureau of Economic Analysis.
