Volkswagen appoints Audi chairman to its board

The Supervisory Board of Volkswagen Group has appointed Bram Schot a member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG effective 1 January 2019. The move helps to fill the vacuum created by the departure of ex-Audi chief Rupert Stadler from VW Group (after he was detained last summer by German authorities as part of ongoing dieselgate investigations).
