Volkswagen has just told its Canadian and U.S. dealers to stop selling the 2014 Jetta, Passat, Beetle, and Beetle Convertible equipped with a 1.8L engine due to potential automatic transmission fluid leaks that could result in a fire.
The affected vehicles were built after February 1st, 2014. They amount to roughly 2,000 in Canada and 25,000 in the U.S.
Volkswagen is working with authorities on how to fix the cars that have been sold, including replacing the defective parts.
