VW releases Stadler from Audi and group management board duties

Volkswagen AG said Audi CEO Rupert Stadler - arrested by Munich prosecutors on Monday due to fears he might hinder an ongoing investigation into the diesel emissions cheating scandal - had been temporarily released from his duties as a member of the board of management and the supervisory board had accepted his request.
