It took 10 hours for volunteers to line up 24,189 toy cars around the National Motor Museum in the U.K., beating the previous record of 14,310 cars.
The line stretched over a distance of 1.91 kilometre.
Some of the toy cars had been offered by celebrities such as Pink Floyd drummer and race car driver Nick Mason. A Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR replica was given by Sir Stirling Moss, who used the real thing to win the 1955 Mille Miglia.
