Veteran swiss driver Alain Menu has confirmed he is leaving the World Touring Car Championship to contest the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup this season as a member of the Fach Auto Tech stable.
The 49-year-old Swiss is coming off of his most successful season in the WTCC, taking six victories and finishing second in the drivers' championship in one works Chevrolet Cruze.
With no works drives available after Chevrolet's withdrawal, Menu has instead made the jump to the Porsche Supercup.
The two-time British Touring Car Championship champion last drove a Porsche competitively in 2004.
It is rumoured that Menu could become a test driver for Citroen to help develop its new WTCC car.
