When Jeff Gordon waves the white flag, maybe it's time to think surrender to Jimmie Johnson for the NASCAR Sprint Cup title, only Johnson says it's too early. Johnson won his third-straight fall race at Auto Club Speedway holding off Gordon by 1.6 seconds in a 500-mile race around the two-mile oval, it was Gordon's eighth second place finish this year.

John Edwards became the youngest champion in the 36-year history of the series with a dominating performance at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on Sunday afternoon. He and Jonathan Summerton ended the season tied with 182 points and four victories apiece. Aveo is the Rodney Dangerfield of the Chevrolet lineup. It just "don't get no respect". Here is an entry level car that can be ordered as either a sedan or a five-door hatchback in LS or LT trim with either a five-speed manual gearbox or a four-speed automatic. Yet, you hardly see any ads for the car on TV or in the paper from GM. Local dealers have them, but seem to be able to get better deals on larger cars.
