The 2013 Dodge Dart spent its tenth month in our care within the state of Michigan. At this point, we've come to terms with most of the Dart’s virtues and downfalls, and now we’re putting it to work as a pleasant day-to-day commuter.

Devo might have sung about freedom of choice, but it seems to be Chevrolet’s mantra when it comes to small cars. The 2014 Chevrolet Sonic was already available in seven forms, but at the 2013 Los Angeles auto show, the automaker unveiled another two variants – the 2014 Chevrolet Sonic RS Sedan and the 2014 Chevrolet Sonic Dusk – that will soon be rolling into showrooms nationwide.

Toyota and Microsoft Research teamed up to build a concept version of the Sienna minivan that helps make day-to-day driving easier for customers. Called the Toyota Driver Awareness Research Vehicle, or DAR-V, the Sienna uses gesture controls and other technologies to help reduce driver distraction and allow drivers to keep their hands on the wheel at all times.

Honda’s latest concept may look like a wild, futuristic transportation pod, but the Honda FCEV Concept (for Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle) that recently debuted at the 2013 Los Angeles auto show portends a next-generation fuel cell vehicle that could debut in the U.S. as soon as 2015. This concept follows in the footsteps of Honda’s current fuel cell vehicle, the Honda FCX Clarity, and improves upon the fuel cell formula with a more innovative design that makes for better packaging of the advanced powertrain.
