There are two big headlines for the 2014 Jetta: (1) All sedan models now receive independent rear suspension -- instead of the old twist-beam setup -- which should help improve ride quality and handling. (2) The antiquated 2.5-liter I-5 engine has been replaced with a new 1.8-liter turbo four-cylinder, which is rated at the same 170 hp as the old five-cylinder but has slightly more torque.
