Since 2009, Ford offered consumers to bring their old vehicle to the nearest dealer in exchange for up to $2,000 from Ford's 'Recycle Your Ride' program and up to $300 in additional incentives from the federal government's 'Retire Your Ride' program upon purchasing a cleaner, more fuel-efficient 2010 or 2011 Ford or Lincoln model.
