Honda, an unfathomably minor brand in Britain, offers a small range of vehicles, each one being worthy of a lot more attention from buyers. The CR-V Hybrid illustrates that point perfectly and signals a change of strategy with electrification now the default setting for future Honda models in the European region.
Jaguar on its own is far from a viable business, as global deliveries of only 37,323 vehicles (-11%) in the 1 July to 30 September quarter shows. Tata Motors is nonetheless standing behind the troubled brand even if some believe that both the leaping cat and Land Rover might be sold to another OEM. For now though, spending on Jaguar continues, with an emphasis on electrification for all manner of future vehicles.
Tata wholesale deliveries collapsed by 56% in September, way more than the overall Indian market's 23% fall after a 31% dive in August.
